Importing Compliance

IMG is Australia's leading importer of exotic sports cars. No other business has the experience, the network or capital that IMG has at it's disposal. Our core business is retailing motor vehicles, but we can also assist those wanting to order a specific vehicle or import their own car. We have offices in London UK and Osaka Japan. IMG guarantees that the vehicle described to you is the vehicle that will be ready for delivery to you at our Sydney HQ. With IMG you have the peace of mind that you are dealing with Australia's leading importer of exotic sports cars and avoiding any risk in the importation process. IMG guarantees to deliver you car at a cost fixed in Advance of arrival, so that you don't have to fear hidden costs or cost blowouts. IMG takes care of the import process and responsibility for your car so that you can enjoy your car sooner and without the hassles of trying undertake the import of a vehicle yourself.

We recommend that if you are interested in importing a vehicle, you should contact either Gavin or Andrew to discuss the process in more detail and help to find a suitable vehicle.

Australia has very strict criteria for the importation of any vehicle into the country. Not all vehicles are eligible to be imported as either a new or used vehicle. Essentially there are only two methods for which a used vehicle can be imported. Through the Registered Automotive Workshop Scheme (RAWS) there is a number of eligible vehicles which can be sourced overseas and immediately imported into the country.

The only other method to import a used vehicle is through the personal import scheme. This scheme is only available to people with the right to live/work in Australia who have lived, owned and used a vehicle overseas for a continuous period of 12months. This is for obvious reasons a difficult method to satisfy the requirements. IMG does not import vehicles under this method, however we can offer assistance to Australian living abroad that are interested in returning with their vehicle, and we also buy personally imported vehicles from those who have imported them to Australia.

We collect your details when you contact us or sign up for our weekly newsletter. We will always be transparent about how we plan to use your data so that you have the choice whether or not to give it to us.

It is not our practice to contact you if you have made it clear that you do not wish to hear from us about our products and services.

International Motor Group does not sell or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

We provide the information to trusted partners who work with or on behalf of International Motor Group under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help us communicate with you about offers and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.

We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person or as otherwise required by law.

We transfer information about you if International Motor Group is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, we will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
